Let's see, we'll buy our BIOS from
Phoenix, our DOS from Microsoft, we'll write a lot of
glue-routines ourselves; on the hardware side we'll
overide the system bus whenever DOS and UNIX cannot
agree who's really in control. . . and we'll give a
part-time writer (one of our Curators) two months to
mix and match documentation from three vendors, write
three chapters of his own, and arrange for the book
to be printed and distributed by an entirely hostile
west coast publications group out at the Sun mother
ship in Mountain View. . .
